HOW I DISCOVERED THE MOMENT OF THE ADVENT OF THE NEW MAN ON EARTH

The “Cosmic” Man from imaginary symbol to material reality

Wittkower wrote in Architectural Principles in the Age of Humanism that “with the Renaissance Revival of the Greek mathematical interpretation of God and the world, and invigorated by the Christian belief that man as the image of God embodied the harmonies of the Universe, the Vitruvian figure inscribed in a square and a circle became a symbol of the mathematical sympathy between Microcosm and Macrocosm".

Let’s have a look then at Da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man. Leonardo limits himself to representing the Microcosm in the form of a Man with an elegant and dignified build… a body of “divine proportions”, the parts of which are well measured and arranged according to a harmonious form, making him so fascinating as to lead the observer to look beyond his physical appearance to the mystery of that intrigue … but it is not clear how the Macrocosm can have influenced the creation of his harmonious beauty …. The representation of the Macrocosm is not present… and yet we are taught that the Circle symbolizes the Universe… yes… in that which has not been drawn – but which should be there, according to many sources, interpretations and beliefs – the Vitruvian secret is concealed in the occult…

From this reflection on the incompleteness of the drawing too focused on rendering the anatomical perfection, intuition led to a drawing by Fludd in which a Man, who cannot be compared to the beauty of the Vitruvian Man, is portrayed within a circle of the Zodiac and surrounded by the planets of the solar system pictured in an astral chart at what could be any moment …. Although the Macrocosm is shown here, the relationship between human body and celestial bodies is not clear to me  … And my thoughts return to Leonardo, because Fludd only confirms for me that in Leonardo’s drawing there is an indication I am missing, it is present even if it is not stated… to be revealed….

As there is a harmonious relationship between the parts of the Vitruvian which form what the artist himself calls “cosmography of the microcosm”, I asked myself if there was a special moment in time when, in relation to an observer on the Earth, also the planets were arranged according to a particular harmonious configuration … I began to search with specific astrology software, and I found a moment when all the planets were arranged on the circumference forming the shape of a CROSS…… pure, unequivocal, precise if not perfect    in this “divine” scheme I glimpsed a geometric correlation with the “divine” proportions  of Leonardo’s Man… In fact, superimposing the anatomical drawing on this astral chart, I had the confirmation  …. I then began a deeper study the conclusions of which led me to sustain that the position of the Vitruvian Man’s body corresponds to the position of the astral bodies in the Circle of the Zodiac at a given moment in cosmological history….. that there exists a unique never to be repeated moment when the physical constitution of an adult man is the mirror image of that of the solar system at the moment in which he was born  …

That which Leonardo had not drawn, because he was not certain that he fully understood all the aspects of the doctrine (he was an expert on the human body and not of either astronomy or astrology), I have taken the liberty of adding to his scheme  … Now little remains unexplained about the coming of the Man, the divine design is now clear ……  Leonardo has prophesised the physical appearance of the Man who will come, I have found the cosmological moment of the extraordinary event of his birth, that harmonious configuration of the Macrocosm which will give material form to that harmonious configuration of the Microcosm… the diagram that results from this superimposition indicates the space-time coordinates of the coming on Earth of the New Man, or “cosmic” or “zodiacal” or “divinely proportioned”  Man, … however we want to call him … it is not the adjective, but rather the divine substance that makes him unique… He is in fact divine spirit in divine body… «on Earth as it is in Heaven»... for centuries the man created in the image and likeness of the cosmos had only been theorized and idealized in perfect harmony and with perfect proportions… and finally here he is at a recent astral moment, this imaginary being materialized in a living human being.

while the drawing of the Vitruvian Man is the symbol of an ideal mathematical correspondence of Microcosm and Macrocosm, this diagram is the description of the real correspondence of Microcosm and Macrocosm.
